Francisco Marrero

Fullstack Web Developer, Game Programmer

I enjoy creating tools and applications that are powerful, intuitive, and easy to use. With five years of experience developing video games and software across multiple platforms, I have built user-facing features, backend systems, and development tools that help turn ideas into polished products. I value both the creative process and the technical challenges involved in designing reliable, user-friendly solutions.

Godot Environment Query Orchestrator (GEQO)

Date started: Oct 30, 2025

Godot Environment Query Orchestrator (GEQO) is a node-based environment querying system for Godot 4.5+, inspired by Unreal Engine’s EQS. It allows AI agents to evaluate the world around them and select the best position/node/item based on customizable generators and tests (e.g distance, visibility), made around contexts (Any node with a position value). It is implemented in C++ as a GDExtension for higher performance.

PR Target Control

Date started: Aug 10, 2023

I built this app for my uncle to solve a problem at his shooting range. Target control machines are usually very expensive, and without one, someone always had to move the targets by hand. To make training easier, I created an app that connects to a controller over Bluetooth and automatically moves the targets. The app also gives audio instructions, plays beeps, and runs different routines depending on the type of competition.

Game Jam Projects

These are some of the game jam projects I’ve worked on. They were made in teams of 2–5 people, with development times ranging from 2 to 14 days.

Computer Science Final Project

Date started: Oct 29, 2023

This project was part of my third year at the University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo and served as my final project before graduating. It originally began as a 5-person team effort but later split into two smaller groups. My team focused mainly on the counselor side of the system, with some contributions to the student and admin sections as well. It turned out to be one of the most valuable learning experiences I’ve had during my time at the university.
